On June 20th, dads around the world will be celebrated for Father’s Day. For some, this day is spent remembering their father and the love that they shared with their kids. For others, this day is spent with dad doing whatever he wants to do and giving him that special gift. This could look like a drawing from their toddler, a #1 dad mug from their teen or a nice tie from their adult children. For employers, there are many ways to celebrate dads in the workplace. In today’s blog post, we researched some fun and creative ways to make their days leading up to Father’s Day meaningful.
1. Give a gift
This could be something as small as sending an email expressing gratitude to all the dads in the office or a small gift card to Starbucks for those early mornings and late nights. Another idea is giving a gift the entire office can enjoy such as mini golf. Here are a few ideas from Amazon that could be delivered to the office in no time. What dad doesn’t love a little office fun?
2. Treat the office to a breakfast or lunch
While everyone’s working environment looks different nowadays, that doesn’t mean employers are exempt from treating employees to a breakfast or lunch. For those working in an office setting, there could be an office celebration and dads could even bring their children. For those working remotely, an eGift card or delivery service would work just fine.
3. Time off
This is probably one of the most valuable gifts of them all. Some companies give dads the Friday off before Father’s Day or the Monday off after Father’s Day. This way dads can spend extra time with their kids at the pool, in the park or take that special vacation with their family.
We are forever grateful for the contribution that fathers and father figures make for their children’s lives. As a family showers their dad with love and special gifts, employers can also make dads feel special by offering a simple, yet thoughtful gift.
