As you may already know, it is based on the popular book, "The Heart-Centered Leader", written by Susan Steinbrecher and Joel B. Bennet. Embraced by organizations such as Gaylord, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Miraval Spa and Resort, it explains how to break from corporate culture to take care of your associates from the heart. As a result, they will take care of your customers, and the customers will take care of your profitability.

January 14, 2009: Focus Launches Focus On You CampaignOn behalf of Focus, I’d like to wish you a happy new year! We have some exciting plans for 2009. Our Focus on You campaign begins this year with our "The Heart-Centered Leader" seminar and luncheon scheduled for Thursday, March 12th at the Buckhead Club on Peachtree Street. The purpose of our Focus on You initiative is to demonstrate our commitment to the industry and the issues facing today’s corporate leaders. We’ve researched numerous topics for this initiative and determined that "The Heart-Centered Leader" is a relevant, inspiring philosophy that any company can employ. Not only does it help corporate executives to strengthen their role in their organization, but it improves workplace communication – a goal we all strive to achieve.
This event is based on the highly acclaimed book, "Heart-Centered Leadership: An Invitation to Lead from the Inside Out", by Susan Steinbrecher and Joel B. Bennett, PhD. It will be led by Steinbrecher’s colleague, Kim Rivera Beattie, who is a corporate human resources veteran and trainer.
